GoFax® Email to Fax Subject Line Commands

Using the GoFax® Email to Fax Send service, there are a range of subject line modifiers which provide greater convenience and flexibility when sending faxes from email. These modifiers can be placed in the ‘Subject Line’ field of an email, at the start of the subject line, followed by a space, or at the end of the subject line, with a space before the /

HOW TO APPLY

Always send the body of an email as the first page

This can be turned ON by adding a /b command to the subject, or forced OFF with the /a command

Send encrypted faxes

Apply the following in the subject line: /number
Would be entered as /number 0388889998

*Send address is also different for encryption – fax@secure.gofax.com.au

Send faxes as high
quality/resolution

This can be turned ON by adding a /hq command to the subject, or forced OFF with the /lq command. Additional fees apply.

Schedule faxes ahead of time

You can schedule faxes sent from email for a time in advance using the command /d

In the subject line you can enter various commands to control this feature:

command feature

Commands:

1. /d [date] [time] Eg : /d mm:dd:yyyy hh:mm OR /d mm:dd:yyyy hh:mmAM/PM

Would be entered as:

1. /d 3/29/2019 16:30 OR /d 3/29/2019 04:30PM

Once GoFax® has successfully received the fax request, it will display in the ‘Send Queue’ as ‘Scheduled for Transmission at date/time’.

Please make sure you review the time stamp on your account: My Setting > My Time Zone.
